The Philippines has developed a streamlined travel system that will make it easier for its nationals to enter and exit the country. If you’re traveling to or from Canada, you’ll need to be familiar with this system to guarantee that your journey is safe and well-monitored. This technique will help protect the Filipino workers’ safety.

What is the One Health Pass?

One Health Pass is an online system that makes traveling to and from the Philippines more secure and much easier, especially during these times. It has been launched in September 2021.

What are the Requirements?

You must enter all the necessary details to ensure that your data is secure and accurate.

Go to the One Health Pass website (https://www.onehealthpass.com.ph/e-HDC/) and fill out all of the required forms. Once done, submit your travel documents, such as your passport, plane ticket, and immunization card, at the airport (a screenshot will do at the airport.

Qualifications

According to the Bureau of Quarantine, travelers and returning Filipinos would be subject to this new system beginning September 1, 2021. (BOQ). To provide a pleasant travel experience, all Filipinos leaving or returning to the country, whether for work or travel, marine or land-based, must register on this system.

Features and Benefits

One Health Pass reduces the need for travelers to bring a lot of paperwork. It also helps reduce their contact exposure by limiting their stay within the airport.

The airport also has access to this digital platform. It saves you time and helps you save money on connection fees.

The system includes a number of features that enable you to track and record all of your information in a secure cloud. This reduces the requirement for manually enconding or filling out forms to acquire and verify all the needed info. It also permits you to concentrate on getting ready to return to work if you’re an OFW travelling abroad.

Step by Step Guide One Health Pass Registration for Filipinos (5 Steps)

Pre-Departure

Step 1: Travelers arriving in the country should visit the One Health Pass website (https://www.onehealthpass.com.ph/e-HDC/) at least five (5) days in advance to get a transaction number.

Step 2: Once your record has been accepted by the system, take a screenshot of it. You must show this at the airport when you arrive in the Philippines. As a result, it is recommended that you register before entering the country to ensure a seamless transaction.

Step 3: A health declaration checklist must be completed within 24 hours of your flight or before boarding.

Arrival at the Airport

Step 4: When you arrive, show your OHP personal QR code for arrival and hotel assignment. You will then be directed to an immigration official-led orientation before being awarded an immigration clearance and directed to the quarantine hotel.

Video: Step-by-Step Guide For One Health Pass Registration

In this video, the vlogger talks about the various requirements and steps in registering for the One Health Pass, an important requirement for returning and exiting Filipinos. This new system requires all OFWs and overseas Filipinos to register using either their official website or via the app.

Aside from the One Health Pass, you also need to comply with other requirements before you can enter the Philippines. The goal of the system is not to put more burden on travellers during this time, but to make the entry and exit in the Philippines more organized, safe, and seamless.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) Regarding the One Health Pass (OHP)

Because this is still a relatively new system, we’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions concerning the OHP.

  1. Is there a cost to sign up for the system?

No, there are no fees associated with registering on the system. You will only need to provide information online and submit your data for national and local record-keeping, tracking, and monitoring reasons during your return to or exit from the country. As a result, you must provide up-to-date and accurate information about your job, health, and status as an OFW/Filipino citizen.

  1. When should I sign up for the system?

This should ideally be done before boarding your aircraft. You can, however, sign up in the system three days before your scheduled departure. You can do this as late as when you get at the airport. The health declaration form must be completed at least 24 hours before your flight. Bring a copy of your immunization certificate from the nation you are visiting. A screenshot of the actual or digital copy of the certificate would sufficient.

  1. Is there anything else I need to bring with me when I get at the airport?

Yes, typical documentation like passports, airline tickets, and now your immunization certificate must be presented at the airport upon arrival. It is vital that you fill out the registration and health declaration forms on the One Health Pass website to save time at the airport, but you may still complete these papers upon arrival – better do it early and in the comfort of your own home (up to three days before your arrival in the Philippines).

  1. Is it necessary for me to download the app in order to register?

The One Health Pass is an online system that allows you to enter all of your personal, travel, and health information, as well as your immunization status. All of this information will be logged in a system that airport officials and anyone who will receive you in your hometown or local government unit can access.

  1. I’m not classified as an OFW, but a vacationing Filipino citizen. Do I also need to register?

Yes, all travellers entering or leaving the Philippines, whether for work or leisure, must complete the system’s form. OFWs must be careful to indicate this in the form because the OWWA will assign them to a quarantine facility/hotel. All other travellers must note in their form that they are travelling to the Philippines of their own initiative and will bear any expenses that may arise as a result, in accordance with local government rules.

Final Thoughts

There’s no doubt about it: it’s a wonderful thing that borders are beginning to ease up, including here in Canada. This implies that people who have not yet left their homes, particularly OFWs, can now book flights back home to spend time with their relatives. However, certain requirements and conditions must be followed in order for this to occur. One of these is signing up for the One Health Pass. We hope that by following the instructions laid out in this guide, our kababayans in Canada will be able to travel to and from the Philippines with ease, especially now that the holiday season is upon us all.
